Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a bowl from epoxy resin? In this class we will cover the layout, pouring, design, and technique for shaping and finishing such a bowl. This class will use pinecones as a substrate in addition to the resin. Each participant will create and take home their own bowl. In addition to the two evening sessions that will cover turning and finishing (on 8/31 and 9/2 from 6:00 – 9:00PM) this course also include a non-mandatory overview and set-up class session held on August 25th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. This optional course will cover how to create the bowl blank as well as the mixing, coloring, and pouring of the epoxy. Attendance during this set-up class will allow you to choose a color and create your own bowl blank that you will turn in the subsequent sessions. Participants who do not attend this session will turn a pearl-white pigmented bowl blank made by the instructor.
