Epoxy Resin Casting for Turners

Course Description

** Please note that this class also serves as the 1st part of the Epoxy Resin & Pinecones Bowl class. If you have enrolled in that bowl or plan to then you DO NOT need to sign up for this class. Likewise, if you would like to learn about shaping and polishing epoxy on a wood lathe then sign up for the Epoxy Resin and Pinecone Bowl class instead **

In this class, participants will be guided through the process of working with epoxy resin and various techniques to create different effects and designs. They will learn how to mix and pour epoxy resin, add pigments and other additives, and manipulate the resin to achieve desired results.
The class will cover the following topics:
• Introduction to epoxy resin and its properties
• Safety precautions and handling of epoxy resin
• Choosing/creating molds and preparing them for casting
• Mixing and pouring epoxy resin into molds
• Incorporating pigments, dyes, and other additives to create different effects
• Techniques for manipulating the resin and creating patterns

Cancellation Policy

Due to the underlying expenses and preparation time inherent in the classes we offer, in addition to the limited number of students that can be accommodated in our classroom, Mann Tool does not provide refunds or exchanges for cancellations that occur within 10 days of the scheduled event. Participants who give more than 10 days notice will receive a full refund.

Each class has a minimum number of participants required for the class to be held. Mann Tool reserves the right to cancel a class up to 48 hours prior to its scheduled time if the minimum enrollment has not been met. In this event, the participants have the choice of a full refund or a credit towards the enrollment costs for a future class.
