Do you have a little maple and walnut laying around? This class will show you how to take V-Carve Pro and a couple of contrasting woods to make a cool, useful, and maybe even profitable effect. Better yet, one router bit is all you need (attached to a CNC router of course). This 2½ hour course will cover how to use contrasting woods to make flat items such as cutting boards or signs. Also covered will be how to convert text and bitmaps into vectors to form the basis for the inlay. Then we show you the proper strategy to toolpath the inlay. If time permits a demonstration of an inlay being cut on the Axiom Pro CNC. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop with V-Carve Pro or Aspire installed. Our CNC 101 class on September 11, 2019 would be a good prerequisite for this course.
